Rules for SureDesk Passwords

 

For safety and security there are rules for the passwords you need to access your SureDesk and SureFiles.

 

Password must meet complexity requirements

  • Not contain your user account or parts of your full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
  • Be at least six characters in length.
  • It must contain characters from three of the following four categories:
    • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a through z)
    • A number (0 through 9)
    • Non-alphabetic characters (for example: !,$,#,%)

Maximum password age

  • The password can not be older than 90 days.  After 90 days have past you will be prompted to change the password.
  • You can not reuse old passwords that you have recently used.
