We are making arcade environment Flash video games for the biggest media companies in the world and for our own arcade. Our work recently includes the ESPN Broadband Video Games Arcade and work on Flash games within Disney's Extreme Digital Framework.
 
We are comfortable with distributed teams though a local presence is a plus. 

Current contracts for 2 months - full or part time - available.
 
Requirements:
Experience and work samples using practical OOP methodologies
advanced knowledge of back-end development
Both of the above in an AS intensive flash development environment
experience with load-balancing and multiplayer networks
experience with AS3 and Flex a plus
track record leading the development of large-scale websites and flash applications
Familiar with Unix server environments including PHP, RUBY, JAVA, SQL, and HTML methodologies required
Familiarity with MS server environments including IIS, ASP, .NET and Sequel Server a plus
Comfortable designing user interfaces a dedication to understanding of the user experience
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to guide junior team members via reviewing code, design docs and technical guidelines, etc...
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or high profile portfolio a plus
